We recommend this type blade for groomers who are concerned with blades heating up. This type of ceramic material will help minimize blade heat and tension. They are fragile, so be careful when handling. They stay sharp twice as long as regular blades. It's difficult to find a sharpener who can sharpen these when they dull... so we recommend buying a new replacement cutter blade, they're so inexpensive you can afford it! You won't need to replace these very often because they last so long. The feel and cut may seem different than a standard steel blade at first but you get use to the feeling very easily. They are super lightweight.
Excellent quality Ceramic and Titanium Carbo Nitrate (TiCN) blades. Ultra Hard 90+ Rockwell. Titanium plating is rust resistant. Titanium plating glides through hair. Rust proof cutter blade. Fits all snap on clippers. Ceramic blades run up to 80% cooler and stay sharper up to 10 times longer!
Laube GCX combines ceramic and titanium carbo nitrate plating with cryogenix for the coolest, sharpest, smoothest cutting blade in the world. Laube has combined the best of both worlds! Laube starts with titanium carbo nitrate plating on already super hard, super dense cyrogenic treated blade and then combining that technology with a ceramic-cutting blade, the hardest substance (with the exception of diamonds) known to man.
These combined technologies add up to a super blade that will save you time and a lot of money overall. GCX blades will glide effortlessly through any coat. Titanium carbo nitrate plating (the gold color) is a super tough surface that is commonly used in precision machining of super tough metels. The plating will not rust or wear off. All these features are only available with the Laube GCX exclusive blade line.
TITANIUM CARBO NITRATE (TiCN)
A hard, dense, tough wear resistant coating. TiCN is designed for the most demanding applications.
CERAMIC
The second hardest substance known to man. Excellent cutting properties. Will stay sharper longer than steel. Totally corrosion proof.
CRYOGENICS
It is the ultra low temperatures and ultra slow temperature change that allows the molecules in the material to compress and expand in a uniform, homogeneous manner and the re-align in a more coherent fashion, thus, reducing internal stress. This process makes a stronger denser, sharper and longer lasting blade.
